Десять років тому я пішла з медіа. Але медіа, схоже, так і не відпустили мене.

Десять років тому я пішла з медіа. Але медіа, схоже, так і не відпустили мене.

Over the years, I built a digital agency, but from time to time media teams still reach out to me for consulting, help with strategy, or simply to look at the data together.

Recently, I had one of those meetings.

Honestly, I thought it would be a routine introduction. But within a few minutes, I realized this meeting was going to be different.

For the first time in many years, I was sitting across from a team that had already done a huge amount of work.

They had analyzed their performance in depth, collected data, built analytics, and could answer practically every question I asked.

And that was exactly what interested me most.

Because the problem wasn’t that they lacked data.

The problem was something else.

They analyzed a lot. But not everything they analyzed helped them make decisions.

So I didn’t give them ready-made answers. I asked questions.

— Who is responsible for this?
— Have you analyzed this before?
— How does the digital component of the project depend on editorial decisions?

With every question, the picture became clearer.

Not because new numbers appeared.

But because the data they already had started to come together into one coherent system.

At the end of the meeting, I heard a phrase that really stayed with me:

“Marina, in this one hour, we understood where to go next, where to dig deeper, which hypotheses to abandon, and how to analyze these projects in the first place.”

After that meeting, I was reminded of something once again.

Strong marketing doesn’t start with a large amount of data.

And it doesn’t even start with high-quality analytics.

It starts with understanding which data will actually help you make the right business decision.

Because it’s impossible to analyze everything.

You need to analyze what truly influences the next step.

That’s why, at our agency, we don’t start with choosing advertising channels or discussing budgets.

We start by understanding the business.

Because only then does marketing stop being a set of tools and become a way to achieve business goals.
