Clean Dnieper
Our Task
- Building a positive perception of the organization and its leader Dmitry Nadeev among representatives of local authorities and relevant agencies to further address issues of cleaning up the Dnieper River within Kiev
- Building a positive image for the leader of civic association
- Making Dmitry Nadeev a speaker and expert on eco-related topics for the media
Realization
- Created organization’s Facebook community that united people interested in preservation of the Dnieper and environmental protection
- Organized island cleanups
- Organized and held an action for stocking the Dnieper with fish
- Held a series of speeches to put ecological issues and environmental condition of the Dnieper back on the front burner
- Arranged organization's appeal to the authorities and the public through social networks and petitions to KMDA (Kiev City State Administration)
- Created organization's website and wrote its content, showing the organization's activities and the issues it deals with
Result
- A document was signed about the organization’s cooperation with the State Water Agency of Ukraine, whose subsidiary enterprise agreed to order Dnieper cleaning near the Paton Bridge (at the moment, the project is still underway)
- Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko took the issue of cleaning the Dnieper within Kiev borders under his personal control
- Dmitry Nadeev secured his role an expert and a speaker on ecology-related water supply issues for the media
